Many women experience pain during pregnancy due to changes in hormone levels, muscle support and posture.
Physiotherapy can help to alleviate these aches and pains. A specialised antenatal physiotherapy assessment is carried out to identify the root of the pain and based on the findings a treatment plan will be devised.
Treatment may include:
- Manual therapy
- Exercise to strengthen weak muscles
- Prescription of supports/ braces to support joints and muscles
- Postural correction
- Advice & Education
