Many women experience pain during pregnancy due to changes in hormone levels, muscle support and posture.

Physiotherapy can help to alleviate these aches and pains. A specialised antenatal physiotherapy assessment is carried out to identify the root of the pain and based on the findings a treatment plan will be devised.

Treatment may include:

  • Manual therapy
  • Exercise to strengthen weak muscles
  • Prescription of supports/ braces to support joints and muscles
  • Postural correction
  • Advice & Education

“Some conditions which develop as a result of pregnancy and delivery may not resolve without treatment. This is why we advise all new mums to avail of our Postnatal Assessment
